IDE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Artist Annabel Greenfield ran two highly successful workshop days at Ide School recently, working with over 50 children from years 4-6. The project was supported by THF and created with the help of Daisi. Annabel led the children through a wide range of arts activities using recycled materials. The skills children learned included weaving, printing, collage and sewing - all to create some lovely results.

THF trustees visited the workshop to find a real buzz of activity as the children created their own woven fabrics on a small cardboard loom, using string for the warp and weft. They then wove their own selection of multiple recycled materials through the strings to create a shape they could fold and sew into a small bag or holdall. So impressive!
