REMEMBERING HELEN

December 26th - Boxing Day - is always an emotionally tough day for us. It’s particularly hard not to relive the hours from the time of the morning car accident to the time Helen reluctantly let go of life in the early afternoon in Dorchester Hospital, but it’s such a relief to get past that final hour each year, and move towards a future where the enterprise, talent and sheer energy of our daughter continue to inspire her family and friends. That inspiration also maintains its call to arms and for donations to help support The Helen Foundation.Â
The picture shows our youngest grandson Ollie - Helen’s nephew - blowing out the 19 year-old candle handmade with love and stars by another family caught up in the 2005 accident. They suffered serious injuries, but thankfully no fatalities, and we stay in touch. Their candle graces our dining-room every Boxing Day.
