SCHOOL PERFORMANCES SUPPORTED BY THE HELEN FOUNDATION/ELLA PHILP FUND
MACBETH AT DAWLISH COMMUNITY SCHOOL
As one of more than a dozen major school productions supported by funding from The Helen Foundation /Ella Philp Fund this year, Dawlish Community School performed a challenging rewriting of Shakespeare’s Scottish Play, involving two rock bands!

Director Lizzie says:
“We would like to say a massive thank you to The Helen Foundation for their generous funding towards our school production of Macbeth. Their funding allowed us to purchase new lighting and other materials to create a truly memorable stage set. “
Here’s what our students had to say about the production:
“The lights are really cool and the graffiti is creative, colourful, bold and vibrant.”
“It was great to see theatre and music come together so nicely!”
“The set was so much better this year, really brilliant and creative.”
And from our teaching team:
Neil Rigler, Music Lead, said “Seeing the students contribute to a large production is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. It’s a really valuable experience for them, and we’re very grateful to The Helen Foundation for their support.”
Thank you, THF!
