THF SUPPORTED WORKSHOPS - HIGHWEEK SCHOOL: CLAY WORKSHOP WITH ANNA BOLAND

Youngsters worked  with experienced  Daisi artist Anna Boland to explore and uncover the sculptural possibilities that air-drying clay has to offer.

The school wrote:

“A massive thank you to The Helen Foundation for their generous funding of a brilliant clay-sculpting workshop with professional artist, Anna Boland.  The children created their own Greek mythical creatures in 3D, confidently applying their skills in shaping, forming, scoring and joining. They carefully added intricate patterns and details to bring their creations to life, thinking about texture, structure and expression to make each piece unique and full of character."

From fierce snake-headed Medusas to majestic winged beasts, their imaginations truly took shape in clay! We were so impressed by the concentration, resilience and creativity shown throughout the session. The finished pieces are absolutely stunning — thoughtful designs, ambitious structures and craftsmanship to be incredibly proud of.

Well done, Year 3 and 4 - what talented young sculptors we have!"
