Further support from the community came in the form of a cheque for £500 as part of the money raised by a unique village enterprise. Fred and Wenna Curry established several years ago a jigsaw library in the front porch of their house in Shaldon. Gathering together jigsaws from kind donors, they loan them to villagers and visitors alike who pay £1 into their charity support box. It's remarkable to think just how many jigsaws have been borrowed in 2022.
Fred and Wenna are two exceptional individuals in the village community, who support not only The Helen Foundation but a wide range of other charities both in the UK and abroad, as well as Ukrainian refugees. Thank you so much Fred and Wenna for your continued outstanding service to the community.
