Schools and colleges in Teignbridge are invited each year to nominate one of their students to receive The Helen Foundation Award, presented to the young person who shows “best endeavour in the arts”.
They don’t have to be the very best singer, dancer, musician, painter etc. but they do need to show outstanding commitment and enthusiasm for whichever of the arts they most enjoy.

“Every year we have the pleasure of presenting one student in the school The Helen Foundation award. We are extremely lucky to have the continued support from The Helen Foundation.
This year the award will be given to the student who has shown a tenacity and dedication to her art throughout her GCSE qualification and has produced some beautiful pieces. She has worked hard during lesson time, shown a commitment to produce supportive work at home and has recently been very supportive gaining some work experience with me in the art room, encouraging other students. The award this year is going to Riley, congratulations.”

Two winners of the Helen Foundation Award at Trinity School were well chosen for their dedication to their chosen musical output (and input) as well as multi-creative ability in the arts. They are Antonio (Senior School) and Riley (Primary School).
