The workshop plan was to celebrate all of the amazing things that happen at school - in illustrative form. The idea was to make lovely drawings - involving pen & watercolour - to create some great illustrations for a display inspired by the work of Quentin Blake
The work led to the creation of a brilliant Quentin Blake themed tree in the centre of the school’s display board!
CHILDREN'S FEEDBACK
“Annabel, I really enjoyed your amazing workshop and the fantastic things we did in it. When we all had finished the project, it looked amazing so thank you for coming to the school.”
“I love art. Doing sketches and painting for them is all I want to do all day, every day. I really want you to come back. Every time I walk past that tree I see how pretty it is. Thank you!
“The tree now lives in the corridor and looks like it was meant to. I’m sad that this will be the last event like this that I will ever do in Christow.”
“The piece of art we made looks great in the corridor hanging above our bags and coats.”
“I learned that when you draw in Quentin Blake style you have to have a loose hand style and I also learned that you must be patient. It was amazing - one of the best workshops I’ve ever done.”
