NEW SCHOOL YEAR
As the 2024-2025 academic year starts, The Helen Foundation looks back on a very busy summer term, with arts-based workshops in many schools right across Teignbridge. We look forward over the next few months to posting a selection of these highly successful projects.
NEW OFFER FROM THE HELEN FOUNDATION
Trustees have agreed the amount the charity can offer 2024-2025 to schools and colleges: £400 for each primary and £800 for each secondary and special school. Schools and colleges themselves choose the art form they wish for their students and the range grows every year. Young people aged 7-19 are eligible, with their teachers selecting whole school, whole year-groups, whole classes or selected groups - whichever best fit the chosen activity.
Letters of invitation to schools and colleges explaining the simple process of applying for a THF subsidy, and how to book workshops, will be sent via a Daisi email to schools within the next two weeks. (School staff: Look out for it – it can end up in schools’ fierce spam filters.)
NEW LOOK NEWSLETTER!
Long-term THF supporter and friend of the charity Jen Lavis-Quinlin, who helps manage THF’s website, has developed a crisp new look for the THF monthly newsletter distributed by Mailchimp. We hope you like the result. Let us know.
Many thanks yet again, Jen!
