The Helen Foundation Award is presented by schools to recognise the young person each year who has shown "best endeavour in the arts". The winner is not necessarily the best dancer, singer, actor or artist in the school (though the winner is likely to be very talented) but the person making a special commitment to their arts progress, showing real determination and contributing to the artistic life of the school. Pictured is the perpetual wooden trophy mounted with the glass plaque that is kept in each participating school. Winners receive a replica trophy to keep fat home. Costs are covered by THF.
