Fundraising update - May 2020

The Helen Foundation depends for its success on donations from a wide variety of local and national sources, including through its charity collecting boxes located in businesses across Teignbridge - obviously something that has taken a bit hit during the recent weeks and months. Trustees are very grateful for this continuing support of local businesses and hope that we shall see them back open and flourishing as soon as allowable.  Particular individuals and organisations have been especially generous recently including:

Hilary and Chadwick Dawson Hilary and Ken are two of The Helen Foundation's most loyal supporters. Each year they make a donation to the charity and we are particularly grateful to them for their loving support. Local donor We were hugely touched when we found out that a THF supporter living in Teignbridge, who wishes to remain anonymous, donated £1000 to THF via PayPal Giving Fund. Such generosity!  Thank you so much! St James's Place Charitable Foundation St James's Place Charitable Foundation has recently agreed to a donation of £1000 to the THF following an application. This will enable tTHF to further develop its work in a project called Telling Tales that, while temporarily suspended, will resume once schools are back at work. Thank you so much St James's Place! The Rotary Club of Newton Abbot THF recently received a kind donation of £100 from the Rotary Club of Newton Abbot and and we are delighted to acknowledge their support.  They have long been supporters of THF and we look forward to continue working with them as they approach their centenary in 2022. The Cooperative Local Community Fund Members of the  Coop in Teignmouth very kindly agreed to make THF their special charity for 2020 and we recently received nearly £600 as the first quarterly donation. This is wonderful!  Thank you to everyone who shops at Coop, not just in Teignbridge but across the country, and who has nominated THF as this year's benefiting charity in Teignmouth. It is really appreciated.  Funds raised will go towards the range of activities that THF carries out across Teignbridge. We are raring to go when schools and arts organisations start up again!
