Great feedback from Arts Workshop at Christow School

We reported last month on a very successful clay tile sculpture project at Christow School, which used The Sea as its theme. Very recently, we received this delightful feedback letter from one of the young artists who took part.

"I am writing to you on behalf of the whole school to say a huge thank you for helping fund our art workshop. Personally, I really enjoyed etching out our clay tiles. I learnt lots of new ideas and techniques like slip, where you scratch theback of the 3-D figure. Then, you paint it with water and stick it down on thetitle. After creating our tiles, it made our illustrations come to life.

I personally know how hard it must be for you to lose a loved one but, in my opinion, The Helen Foundation is a huge success and a brilliant way to remember Helen positively.

I also love The Helen Foundation because I can look up to you in the future and art is really important to me. This is because I can express my feelings and emotions in a different way. The Helen Foundation really inspires me for my future.

I would like to express my gratitude for all the generosity you have given us over the past few years and for providing our annual art award.".

Thank you Lucy Rockliffe for leading the workshop and to Christow for sending us the feedback letters.  We really appreciate receiving them.
